Blind Faith

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

I dreamed that an enemy had hijacked the car I was in but somehow I wrestled the steering wheel from him. When I got control of the car back, the windshield suddenly became opaque and pitch black where I was unable to tell where I was going at 55 mph. I was physically blinded and couldn’t see a thing. It was very scary because I didn’t know if I was going to run into someone or run off the road. It was much like a roller coaster. I just held on and finally light and a highway appeared. I went to the police station and told them how I had wrestled the car away from the enemy and they were exclaiming that it was an incredible testimony.

Interpretation:
enemy had hijacked my car- with this accident
I wrestled control of steering wheel- by choosing to react to the situation in faith
unable to see pitch black-I can’t see outcome of how my shoulder will heal
bring me into the light- I need to hold on in faith until I see what I believe
police station-God’s authority turned this misfortune into a story to bring Him glory

May I pray for you?

Dear Lord,
My sisters may have a situation where they don’t know how something will turn out and can’t see a foot in front of them. Whatever their situation is help them to hang on and trust You believing for Your best. Will you honor their faith, God, and bring them into the light so their situation can become a testimony of Your faithfulness? Lord, your word says: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you.” John 15:7
Help us to abide in you and dwell on Your words and come boldly to the throne of grace and ask for our need! We thank You in advance and praise Your name! Amen

A Final Word

I can remember years earlier that I had a real zeal to see people healed. I thought I was to write about healing. But to tell the truth, I put it off. It is a very difficult and far reaching subject and I knew I would encounter a lot of opposition. Who wants to be sick?

God had given me a lot of keys to help my husband conquer his ailments at the time. However, there is no experience like walking through an infirmity first-hand. Then we really know and feel the war at hand. We have to take our thoughts captive and believe for a good ending.

I received a prophetic word one time that said God would show me a battlefield and I would say, “There is my place!” And I would run to the battlefield. I could not imagine running to the battlefield because battles are not fun. But friends, spiritual battles must be fought. God made us to be strong. He made us to receive His strength and walk in the power of it. He put us on the earth knowing we would encounter the enemy and that the enemy would hate us because God loves us. Why would God put us in the line of fire? Because until the battle starts we have no idea what we are made of. We are to be warriors. What are we fighting for? Righteousness, truth, freedom…If we enlist and engage in God’s cause He will give us unusual weapons and discernment to equip us.

We need to always remember that the enemy is looking for someone to devour and that our brothers and sisters throughout the world are going through this same type of suffering. The scripture says that after we have suffered a little while, God himself will strengthen, restore, and make us firm. Let’s run to the battle for ourselves and on behalf of our brothers and sisters! I heard these words in a movie the other night over and over again, “In the battle there is redemption.”
