1. <\/b>How does the enemy gain access to your thoughts?<\/b>\u00a0What does the word\u00a0devil<\/i>\u00a0mean? \u00a0It comes from the Latin root\u00a0diabolos<\/i>, which means\u00a0to thrust through, like a rock<\/i>. It\u2019s like the enemy is doing a David and Goliath on you. \u00a0He\u2019s hitting and hammering you with thought patterns, circumstances, and emotions that create a framework of bondage and confusion within your brain and heart.\u00a0\u00a0The devil intends to break through the barrier of your will, your mind, and your emotions in order to penetrate your personality<\/b>. \u00a0These bents and inclinations toward fear, mistrust, abandonment, depression, and even suicide can be generational.\u00a0Some of your battles didn\u2019t start with you<\/b>. We will explore this subject more in the next blog post.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2. <\/b>What can you do to combat this attack?<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Take every thought captive at the point of a spear (2 Corinthians 10:5).\u00a0Interrogate your thought life to see whether it lines up with what the Spirit of God says<\/b>. \u00a0How do you know if a thought is coming from God or the devil?<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0How do you know if it\u2019s a stronghold? \u00a0If it\u2019s not peace, if it\u2019s not energizing, if it\u2019s not love\u2014it\u2019s not from the Lord.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. <\/b>Are you making God your stronghold?<\/b>\u00a0David said he wanted to make the Lord his stronghold and his high tower (Psalm 61:3). You see, a stronghold can work both ways.\u00a0To build a godly stronghold you must tear down what you have built that militates against God\u2019s Word<\/b>. This is the warfare involved with renewing the mind\u2014but it pays off in a new mind garrisoned with God\u2019s way of thinking. Getting clear on who He is for you is one of the most important steps to freedom. \u00a0I want to encourage you to begin the process of renewing your mind, by recognizing that in many cases, the m\u00e9thodos<\/i>, or\u00a0the roadway that the enemy planted in your life came before you knew what he was up to<\/b>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Test and discern your life according to the Holy Spirit to begin to shut down those ramps and build up new highways that lead to victory, anointing, and deliverance.<\/p>\n
