Word in Due Season Christmas 2018

A broken and contrite heart God will not despise. (Ps. 51:17) God only uses broken things. He took the boy’s bread and broke it-only then could he feed the crowd; the alabaster jar was broken-only then could the fragrance fill the house and the world. Jesus said, “My body was broken for you.” We should follow this example in giving ourselves away on behalf of others. For we know when we save our lives, we lose them and when we lose our lives we save them.

At this time in my life I realize my journey has been living at first by the flesh and the world’s approval and in my own strength to hopefully coming into the Spirit led life and more maturity in Christ. I have made a lot of foolish mistakes as a younger Christian but now know it is Christ in you and through you, your hope of glory. I believe we are to be the aroma of Christ to those who are being saved and the aroma of death to those who are perishing. (2 Cor. 2:15-16)

I am reminded of a gold crown and want you to know that you are royalty and kingdom priests and you display God’s glory. You have been refined like gold in order to prove your faith as genuine. You are always to carry who you are in him confidently and know that you have all you need in all your speaking and knowledge because the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you. (I Cor. 1:5)

He has rich treasures to fill your heart and your life-jewels of understanding and wisdom. (Prov. 8:11) You carry his heartbeat in this hour and he desires your prayers to prepare the way for others. I am reminded of the Rose of Sharon, a fertile valley in Israel. In Song of Solomon, she is like a Rose of Sharon-beauty, delicacy and humility are in her. He speaks to her in Song of Solomon 2:10-14 and says, Arise, come with me; see the winter is past, the season of singing has come. The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.

This is your season to arise and go deeper with the Lord. You will be fruitful and the joy of the Lord will be your strength. His word is like water to your soul and honey to your lips.

Deut. 11:8-12 I pray for your strength as you follow his commands and enter the land God swore to your forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey. This is a land of prosperity and abundant blessing.

As you come into this land the Lord has promised (houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, vineyards and olive groves you did not plant) with everything provided, I know you will always remember with gratitude the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt and a land of slavery. (Deut. 6:10-12)
